A long sandy beach where nature is preserved, between ocean, dunes and maritime pine forest. Supervised beach in summer.

The ocean beaches of Le Porge, between Cap Ferret and Lacanau, stretch for over 13 kilometers. Passing first through the maritime pine forest, you climb the famous dune cordon (duckboard paths facilitate access to the beach) to reach the fine sand. In summer, lifeguards supervise the beach. Don't hesitate to move away from the beach entrance to find less crowded spots. Despite the tourist crowds in season, it's possible to find some rather quiet spots.

The beaches of the porge are known surfers. And for good reason, the waves are sometimes impressive. Unfortunately, the closest beach to Bordeaux, tourists flow, and despite the length and width of the beach is quickly cramped. The ideal is to go the morning at 9:00, quiet and especially to avoid the traffic jams return 17:00.
