TRAMASSET CONSTRUCTION SITES
Chantiers Tramasset, a naval heritage dating back to 1837, where period frames and boats are brought back to life.
The Tramasset shipyard has been in existence since 1837. At the time, it was one of 6 shipyards in Le Tourne and Langoiran, building yawls, filadières, coureaux and gabares during the period when wooden boats provided transport on the Garonne. Closed and abandoned in 1985, the Tramasset shipyards were bought by the town council. On site: a shipwright's workshop, where numerous boats are restored, and a rare example of a steam oven. Cultural bar open at weekends from June to September, from 5pm.
