RAS D'EAU
Sébastien Rideau, Soulacais and visual artist passionate about nature and the ocean, has installed his studio in an old oyster shack: Le Ras d'Eau (a play on words between the raft of the Medusa and "at the water's edge"). Anxious to preserve the soul of the place, he has preserved the ropes, nets and buoys typical of the port. Here, we enter the wonderful world of jellyfish, sea urchins, octopuses, etc. made of resin, Plexiglas or polyester. Coiled in glass cases, these luminous and colored sculptures seem to float in mystical abyssal depths.
