The origins of the château date back to the Middle Ages, when it was little more than a keep in the middle of a vast oak forest, where Edward of Woodstock, son of King Edward III of England and nicknamed "The Black Prince", enjoyed hunting. Over the centuries, the château passed through a number of illustrious hands to become the 230-hectare wine estate we know today. Renowned for its pure, precise white and red wines, Château Olivier is open to visitors all year round, and also offers tasting workshops.
