The history of the CHM Montalivet - Monta pour les intimates - begins in 1949 when a few naturists, led by Albert Lecocq, were authorized to rent a burnt-out site in the forest, between Montalivet and Le Pin-Sec. It grew rapidly, and in 1957, there were already 150 bungalows. The transformation of a forest burned and damaged by the war into a naturist center - the largest in the world! - has been quite an adventure. It now covers about 200 hectares and has a capacity of 15,000 people. Its creation has allowed the development of a wide range of naturist centres spread throughout the southern half of France.

You can find everything in Monta! The city's activity is concentrated there, with shops and restaurants, as well as the organised reception of children from the age of 3. During the season, many activities are organized there, and in excellent conditions: the artisanal village and its many workshops (ceramics, contemporary dance, choir, theater, yoga, tai chi, bridge, scrabble, etc.), a library of aquatic activities with a swimming pool (aquatic gym, baby swimmers, swimming lessons), a water park with five slides, a surf school, 1000 m² thermal baths (sauna, hammam, hydrotherapy pool, weight room, beauty and massage,...), free evenings in the area, outdoor cinema and various shows, youth evenings, fairs, many classic sporting events such as tennis tournaments (6 courts), football, volleyball, basketball, petanque, beach volleyball and archery, you can enjoy leisure activities adapted to all family members. This offer allows Monta to continue to attract a relatively young population. To access the center, it is necessary to have a naturist licence (licences from foreign federations are welcome). This obligation thus makes it possible to filter and control the good intentions of holidaymakers. A naturist charter is distributed to you upon your arrival, an action for a better respect of naturist ethics and nudity is conducted with the Gironde clubs since several years.
