A tower 30 m high and 12 m square, now a history museum with garden, roof terrace and five floors.
From the5th century onwards, Franks, Arabs and Normans penetrated the Médoc. To contain the onslaught of these invading visitors, the fortified castle of Sparra was built, probably from the 9th century onwards, surrounded by the Hervaut stream. Today, only the keep in the south-western corner is still standing. Remodeled over the following centuries, the Tour de l'Honneur is a grandiose vestige: 30 m high and 12 m square. It houses a five-storey history museum, a medieval garden and an accessible roof terrace. Animations all year round.
