A small restaurant where the chefs were trained by some of the greatest names in American gastronomy.
It is difficult to classify this small restaurant in a well defined category. The concept of Moko and Omar is clean. These two have an atypical route that he would be too long to tell, but know just that she was a lawyer in New York where she met Omar. They were trained by very large American, English and French gastronomy. In Paris he's a former Sergeant Recruiter and is a ex of Yam'Tcha. Their place is like them, without a label. They will cook what they like: broccoli soup, pancetta and black cabbage or hoummos, épaule milk lamb shoulder and smoked peppers etc. Our papillae shake every bite. Hyper cookies are top… Some dishes and cakes are gluten free.

Attitude from the waitress was confusing. She was nice and polite but when asked for recommendations she said “I don’t know, menu is changing everyday, and I don’t know what you like”. For a restaurant on the “Paris list to eat”, that’s poor. She then described 5 dishes on the menu very briefly. ????????
Cookies were good and flavours were unique but not mind blowing.
Overall, so overhyped, won’t be coming back and don’t recommend.
Food was good and fresh but very expensive for what it is and portion sizes. When we asked the waitress for recommendations, she didn’t give us an answer but suggested we get one of each dish as the portions are small.
We ended up getting all 3 starters, a main to share and the famous cookies. The quality of the ingredients were good but flavors were nothing very special, except the cookies which were unique (although I don’t think I’d get them again).
Overall, it was a decent experience but i think you can get better food and service for this price at other places. Overhyped imo!
The owners/hosts were so welcoming. They took time to explain the food and share their excitement about it. Our best restaurant visit in Paris. Bravo.
