Antonie and Lionel are true ambassadors of hospitality at the restaurant. Their friendliness shines from the moment customers walk in, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Their attention to detail is impressive, always ready to meet customers' needs with a smile. Visited this beautiful place on Jan 30th for a dinner and the food and service was excellent. Also I had a chance to meet the chef Giuliano Sperandio and take a photo with him. That was really nice. Very professional staff. Servers are polite and with a good sense of humor. I will definitely be visiting Le Taillevent every time I'm in Paris!

Magnifique restaurant, cuisine exceptionnelle absolument digne d'un trois macarons Michelin.

Best restaurant for classical French cuisine. Too often, Michelin restaurants are too fancy for real food w all those molecular cooking. It’s nice to have really well done real food. TAILLEVENT is a classy place for that. To me, it’s one of the best restaurants in Paris. Service is impeccable. The wine list is probably one of the most extensive one that I’ve seen in Paris. Just the champagne collection has about 300 choices.

The establishment renewed.
Le Taillevent is an institution, even its wine list is legendary. When you set foot there, passing the voiturier, you set foot in a just renewed two stars establishment. Honestly, you have to enjoy the ceremonial. First, they ll take care of your coats, then you’ll be escorted through the hallway, then through first room, and finally to the main dinner room, greeted all the way long by members of the staff. This is pure classism. Yet, classism wouldn’t feel right if it felt old and out of fashion. Here, the place has been renovated is a very elegant manner, stressing the classism but removing the unnecessary ornements from past to add designed elements. For those who reads my reviews, it’s very similar to the « trente trois ». Beautifully integrated. And if you add the perfectly balanced Michelin star service (close, warm and yet distant enough), you feel exactly what you should : You have all the Michelin multistars code within a contemporary setting.
The question is: does the cuisine match the place? Yes. Just like La Tour d Argent or Lucas Carton, the task is daunting. But the chef manages the same balance the designer or the brigade de salle did: Classism with a dash of contemporary. So dishes are revisited, just the way they should ever be.
The crowd was a mix of business, couples and friends enjoying a great meal. The mood is very classic and upscale. Gentlemen do not need to wear a suit anymore, but I did think that the atmosphere calls for it.
It’s a solid 2 stars, I had a great experience.
Update 2022: Went back after a year. It’s called an institution because it’s stable. And it is. What I may have not praised enough in my previous review was the quality of the wine list, but the rest was as good as the first time. Don’t get me wrong, I did not have the same dishes. The chef does change the menu. Actually, you can compare the menu I took last year to the one this year. There’s movement, but as the famous quote says “Everything has to change so that nothing changes”. Those changes guarantee you that Taillevent will stay Taillevent.
Having said that I did prefer this time.

i really love this restaurant and this restaurant was excellent before the pandemic, but i was surprised at seeing that some guests wore jeans and normal shirt on the other day. The recent atmosphere become terrible compared with previous one. i would like this restaurant to punish jeans and normal shirt for guests.

Nice food and nice service made a very nice evening even better. Although it serves quite traditional french cuisine, the presentation isn't old fashion. Everything was quite enjoyable. Maybe next time I'll the wine pairing menu.

It was a marvelous experience. All courses were delicious and beautifully presented. My lamb entree was spectacular and it was paired with a wonderful wine.

L'ambiance raffinée et le service impeccable parachèvent cette expérience gastronomique inoubliable. La carte des vins est toujours aussi fournient, on regrette toutefois le augmentation des prix sur certaines références.
Dommage qu'elle suive celle du marché actuel de la revente avec certains vignerons à la mode qui ont fait X2, 3 ou 4.
Dîner dans un salon, superbe accueil et service.
Ravi de revenir avec le nouveau chef, qui mérite sans nul doute ses 2 étoiles retrouvées.

Un endroit hors du temps où la notion de grande gastronomie française prend tout son sens. Service très attentionné et sympathique. La cuisine, toute en délicatesse et maîtrise, s’autorise parfois une petite note transalpine rafraîchissante. La carte des vins est exceptionnelle.

제일먼저 식전주로 샴페인 물어보시는데. 매뉴도 안보여주고 가격도 안알려줍니다.
여기서 95불짜리(한잔당)샴페인에 너무 놀랫고.
무슨 삥뜯기는 느낌….

정말 뒤통수맞은느낌…(115유로 런치세트먹고 샴페인2잔이 190불이 말이됩니까. )
손님보다 웨이터(자기들끼리 계속떠드는)수가 더많은곳.
