Large brasserie in Paris offering a family cuisine without fuss, a menu of meats and desserts.
The Bouillon Chartier, in the Grands Boulevards district, is one of the rare bouillons still in operation. In the purest Belle Époque style, its large dining room was listed as a historical monument in 1989. The cuisine, at low prices (you can understand the queue at each service), is family style: leeks with vinaigrette, snails, roast farm chicken/fries, duck confit with potatoes... For dessert? Chocolate mousse, caramel cream or simple apple sauce. The service is provided by waiters in Rondin jackets and white aprons.

neanmoins a recommander
Here we come to the atmosphere and the decor.
However, to eat at the Chartier stock is deserved. Indeed, it is necessary to be courageous agree to participate in the long line of guests which stretches along the street. It is better to come for couples than families because waiting so that a table of four or more people is clear is bigger. Then, it will be better to have fun side " usine" places, service ultra speed and no question of linger too much with table, again queue to get to the toilets!
Finally here, do not miss our delight, following this small travel in time (Ah, the beautiful period), the Chartier Stock is simply a victim of its own success.
Ah, I forgot, the final folklore, the moment when the waiter noticed the bill directly on the paper tablecloth. It is really fun, especially as the total is not really, not aggressive.
