Le 3 juillet, désireux de prendre un café, j'avise cet établissement et vérifie sur la carte qu'ils en servent bien. C'est le cas, (1,70 euros). Le serveur, look de stagiaire de troisième plus que de professionnel aguerri, vient prendre ma commande en terrasse, rentre dans la boutique et revient me dire que « la règle » lui interdit de me servir un simple café et que je dois prendre au moins un double (deux fois plus cher par définition). Cette pratique illégale (le refus de vente est puni par la loi), cupide (tondons le touriste, touriste que je ne suis d'ailleurs pas, habitant Libourne depuis dix ans) et mensongère (un produit inscrit sur la carte est donc interdit de vente?) m'a fait quitter les lieux et aller au charmant café de l'hôtel de ville, voisin, et où, devinez quoi, on m'a servi le café que je voulais. Avec le sourire, en plus. Je ne ferai plus jamais le choix de Sophie, et le déconseille fortement à tout libournais désireux de passer un bon moment sur cette très jolie place.
