The Floral Wood: a collection of cultural and sports activities in the heart of the city. The cultural and sports pole of Bois fleuri symbolizes in many ways what Lormont is today: a city that is attractive, dynamic and multi-generation, where all cultures, traditions, currents, the arts, sports intersect, providing a fertile breeding ground for good social cohesion. With a proactive cultural project, artistic lessons to discover creations through a strong involvement of the inhabitants, it plays an essential role of marker and unifying, breaking cultural and sporting practices. The reference place, the programme of shows, exhibitions, hosts artists, develops many participatory cultural projects, promotes the discovery of the world's cultures, the emergence of new forms of intervention on the territory and the meeting between the public and the work. The cultural and sports centre of Bois fleuri also offers reception conditions for associative, sports and cultural activities and events of metropolitan areas such as literary strides, book salon and sports literature. The Strides will take place this year on 24 and 25 November 2017 around the 3rd volume of the book «Sports meetings in Lormont» Editions Generation; discussions about nutrition in sport, a polar coffee, an exhibition around the history of diving, animations for everyone and many sports and literary guests.
