The Cultural and Sports Centre of the Bois Fleuri symbolises in many ways what Lormont is today: an attractive, dynamic city with multiple confluences, where all cultures, traditions, currents, arts and sports intersect, providing a breeding ground for good social cohesion. With a voluntarist cultural project, from artistic education to the discovery of creations, and with a strong involvement of the inhabitants, it plays an essential role as a marker and unifier, by decompartmentalizing cultural and sporting practices. A place of reference, it programmes shows and exhibitions, welcomes artists, develops numerous participatory cultural projects, encourages the discovery of world cultures, the emergence of new forms of intervention in the area and the encounter between the public and the work. The Bois fleuri Cultural and Sports Centre also offers the conditions for hosting associative, sporting and cultural activities and events of metropolitan scope such as the "Foulées littéraires", a book and sports literature fair. The strides take place every year at the end of November.
