One of the oldest estates in the Médoc, Château d'Arsac can look back on an eventful history of over 1,000 years. Owned by the Sires d'Arsac in the 12th century, then by Thomas de Montaigne, the philosopher's brother, in the 16th century, it was planted with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon at the end of the 18th century. Today, Château d'Arsac has 108 hectares of vines out of the 250 hectares of the property. We distinguish Château d'Arsac (AOC Margaux, exceptional cru bourgeois), Château Le Monteil d'Arsac (AOC Haut-Médoc, cru bourgeois), Cuvée Céline (AOC Bordeaux White) and Cuvée Scooter (AOC Bordeaux Rosé). The site is also remarkable for the quality of its architectural rehabilitation and for the choice of sculptures by the owner Philippe Raoux. Works by Bernard Pagès, Jean-Michel Folon, Rotraut Klein-Moquay, Jean-Pierre Raynaud, Susumu Shingu or Bernar Venet punctuate the "Garden of Sculptures". The visit also includes a historical, artistic and oenological part. A wine tasting is served at the end of the visit.
