CHATEAU TOURNEFEUILLE
In 1785, historian Beylem mentioned the "Tournefeuille" in his cartography of Saint-Emilion. The presence of vine plants in this place is already assumed. This upper coast situation gives it a favorable wind exposure. It is precisely the wind, or rather the frequent breezes, that explain the use of the name "scorkin", an oral expression of the inhabitants of the time. Today, the Château Tournefeuille extends over 17 hectares of vineyards gathered around the castle and its chais, spread over 4 separate soils. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
