VILLAGE OF BAGES
The small village of Bages is ideal for discovering the vineyards of Pauillac, dedicated to the art of living and entertaining in the Médoc.
A visit to this pretty hamlet in the heart of the Pauillac vineyards is a must. Abandoned by its inhabitants, it has been entirely restored by Jean-Michel Cazes, owner of Château Lynch Bages, to which it is attached. Today, this small village is reborn around the flavours of wine, and is dedicated to the art of living and entertaining in the Médoc. Its bistro, its traditional bakery and delicatessen, its wine and tableware shops, its wine and cookery schools, its craft workshops and bicycle hire for beautiful walks, are all centred around the central square, and make this small village an authentic Médoc destination to be discovered. Visits to wine cellars but also several events are organised all year round, such as the Easter egg hunt, the readers' spring in May, Saint Anthony's Day in June, the open-air cinema in summer and Saint Barbara's Day in December.
