CHATEAU LYNCH-BAGES
It is the Irish Lynch family, owner of the castle in the 17th and 18th, which gave its name to the property. Jean-Baptiste Lynch was mayor of Bordeaux and Michel Lynch mayor of the town of Pauillac. The castle was bought in the early 20th century by the Cazes family, and Jean-Michel Caze always ensures its destiny and never stops reinventing it. The vineyard of 90 hectares, on the gravel plateau of Bages, dominated by the Cabernet Sauvignon gives rise to a powerful Pauillac, long on the palate and rich in tannins. In addition to the quality of the visit and wine from Lynch-Bages, note the presence of a contemporary art collection, started in 1989 and which is enriched every year by a work of masters such as Alechinski, Titus Carmel, Arroyo or Jan Voss. We owes Jean-Michel Cazes the restoration and the revival of the lovely Bages hamlet, it now has a cellar, a bakery, a restaurant and a brewery.
