LA ROSE PAUILLAC
This cooperative cellar was created in 1933 by the will of about thirty small owners anxious to make a great Pauillac. Since the 1960s, almost all small Pauillac wineries have joined this fine working tool, which is renowned worldwide. A terroir, a know-how that has given "the selection of winegrowers" or "Bois de Rose" cuvée recognizable by its gold macaroon. La Rose Pauillac is spread over 30 hectares of vineyards and produces 2,000 hectolitres of wine per year. The classic grape varieties of Cabernet and Merlot are often very old and very dense. Its small, meticulously tended plots are adjacent to the greatest classified growths. Here we work in the traditional way with maturing in French oak barrels for 12 months and bottling at 18 months. A very good value for money.
