Meat restaurant with terrace offering warm evenings in Pessac.

Behind this mysterious name hides a meat restaurant; Bovem for beef in Latin! Meat lovers will be delighted by this establishment whose menu is renewed twice a year. Here, the flavours of the world are mixed together in refined recipes: sliced rump steak marinated in satay, blackberry tartar (candied watermelon and vanilla burrata siphon)... The speciality? Braised dishes. In the evening, the cocktail master takes over the bar. Until the early hours of the morning, Bövem is on fire and offers warm evenings. The terrace is a plus.

Moment agréable passé pour la St-Valentin. Nous avons reçu un appel l'apres-midi pour confirmer notre venue et menu unique. La cuisine comme l'ambiance nous ont plu. Nous aurions juste aimé avoir quelques graines ou biscuits salés avec nos cocktails, en attendant l'amuse-bouche 30 mn plus tard.

Inacceptable de recevoir une entrée et avoir reçu le plat 1 heure après. Par la suite, nous avons commandé des Saint Jacques, qui elles, arrivent collées à la coquille et qui damandent un effort pour être décollées. Au moment de demander l’explication pour les saint jaques, nous avons été invitées dans la cuisine afin de nous démontrer la mauvaise cuisson. Le chef de rang a considéré nos paroles erronées, et n’a même pas cherché un compromis en statuant qu’on ne connaissait rien à la cuisine. Passionnées par fruits de mer et cuisine du terroir nous ne recommandons surtout pas de manger dans ce restaurant. Sont-ils mieux leur cocktails ? On ne saurait pas car on y reviendra jamais

Déjeuner le jour de la St Valentin, beaucoup de monde, du coup 25 min d'attente malgré un personnel courageux et souriant. Formule 3 plats originale : artichauts morceau et crème avec œuf mollet, ribs de bœuf confits, dessert à base d'une variété de pomme de terre et crème vanille. De bonnes propositions de vin au verre en accord avec les choix. Cadre cosi, original, sympa.
