BOURGAILH ECOSITE ASSOCIATION

⭐ 2021 Event: The Night of the Stars ⭐

As part of the national event, the association Écosite du Bourgailh in partnership with the association Jalle Astronomie offers you a discovery of the world of the Night between Astronomy and Nature.

ON THE PROGRAM

2pm to 6pm :

- Sun observation on screen (weather permitting).

- Children's workshops: water rocket shooting

21h30 :

- Sky watching with live broadcasts on screens, hosts will present objects and constellations in the sky (until midnight).

- Stopover " The forest, at night " : with a naturalist guide, you are invited to live an experience of discovery of the nocturnal nature and to understand the impact of the circadian cycle on the fauna and the flora.

- Bat stopover: a guide will introduce you to the world of bats. You will be able to better understand their role in our ecosystem.

10pm: Astronomy conference in the Theatre of Nature.

10:30 pm: Discovering nocturnal butterflies, a system of light bait will allow you to observe the biodiversity of butterflies and other nocturnal insects.

August 8th - from 2pm to midnight

!! Event 2021 : Grand Marché Bio du Bourgailh !

The association Écosite du Bourgailh promotes organic agriculture during a great festive moment in the heart of the Bourgailh Forest. This market brings together about twenty organic producers offering a variety of products (fruit and vegetables, meats, groceries, wines and beers ...). The products can also be tasted on the spot during a meal in the open air. This event has conquered a public that returns each year to find this festive atmosphere and these delicious local products grown in respect of the environment.

!! Event 2021 : Pumpkin & Company !

We invite you to come and celebrate the pumpkin (and other cucurbits) and close this season of activities dedicated to nature, with the botanical gardeners of Bordeaux Metropole and the team of the association Écosite du Bourgailh. The autumn vegetable garden is therefore in the spotlight! We propose a guided tour of the vegetable garden during a meeting with those who have maintained it all year. The squash will be on display for an explosion of colours and a discovery of shapes and textures!

Gardeners will be on hand for all the essential advice on autumn gardening. Gourmets will not be left out with a tasting of different varieties of cucurbits and a sale of homemade cakes, all made from squash! You will be able to do your shopping and leave with beautiful squash and other autumn vegetables thanks to the presence of a local organic market gardener. And for the more playful, take part in our quiz, the "weight of the biggest squash" and try to win the big prize!
