WATER TOWER LE CORBUSIER
Le Corbusier's first project in France, this reinforced concrete water tower is listed as a Monument Historique.
With its gloriette, a panoramic room entirely glazed with 8 French windows, this imposing reinforced concrete building is Le Corbusier's first known achievement in France. A landmark of Podensac, it has been listed as a Monument Historique since 2006. The Groupe des Cinq (architects working to preserve 20th-century architectural heritage) has embarked on a major restoration project, which will be completed in the summer of 2024, with a view to opening the building to the public.
