Historic castle among the oldest in Sauternes, offering visits and tastings during the week and on weekends by appointment.
The château is one of the oldest historic estates in the Sauternes region. The property was ennobled in 1565 by Charles IX in gratitude for a visit with Catherine de Médicis, but the vineyard already existed. Dismantled during the Fronde before being rebuilt and divided into numerous land lots after the French Revolution, the estate took a long time to recover its splendor and viticultural function. Today, it offers tours and tastings of its Graves and Sauternes wines.
