TO THE DISCOVERY OF THE SOURCES OF THE GOAT

Advice to curious walkers and infatigables: with 10 km of walking distance, explore the Sources springs. The walk begins at the station towards the centre of the Centre. First stop in the Gardens of the Sources Springs Park where urban art was invited. Then you go down to the maze. We walk on the left of the pond, until you see an underground passage that leads us to the neighborhood of Herders, where the Bièvre takes its source. This 36 km river runs through five departments, sometimes in the open air, and disappears in Paris where it joins the Seine. This authentic place makes you discover rural houses, as well as a farm and remarkable residences such as the Hermitage residence. The course continues with a sweeping view of Bouygues Challenger's head office, a huge neoclassical architectural building, and through the mining and wood of the Grid. The farmhouse of Châteauneuf and Saint-Victor Church are admired. Then direction the hamlet of plan of Troux, former possession of the ladies of Port-Royal, to arrive to the district of Garennes, one of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. End of promenade with return to Sources Springs park.
