Square tower dating from the century, symbol of the old medieval castle of Rions
This square tower dating from the 14th century is the most imposing vestige of the ancient citadel, symbol of the former medieval castle of Rions, which once guarded the entrance to the city. The Tower of the Citadel stands today at the northwest corner of the town. It is erected on a rocky outcrop and has three floors. The tower is the last vestige of a very important defensive complex. Amateur photographers, among others, will certainly not miss the ascent, as the view on the hillsides and the Garonne river is breathtaking.
