J.C. GAULUPEAU
The elegant antique front, with its marble and gilding, but also its magnificent stalls, can be seen in the lively Rue de la Paroisse. Gaulupeau lives in the historic site of the Notre-Dame pastry shop, created in 1769. In addition to being a renowned bakery, the house is also a charming old-fashioned tea room, chic and cosy. The retro and comfortable decoration, gold and large mirrors, plunge into another time. The interior room offers a capacity of thirty seats, to drink tea or coffee accompanied by the irresistible pastries and viennoiseries of the house such as the Diva, a hazelnut biscuit, milk chocolate mousse, caramel, almonds and hazelnuts, a Lemon (honey mousse, lemon chiboust cream, madeleine biscuit, white chocolate feuilletine, or an Ispahan and its rose petal cream, rose biscuit, lychees and fresh raspberries. But the House of Gaulupeau is in perpetual evolution, seeking to renew itself, so the mignardises are declined according to time and the inspiration of the pastry chef, who has a pastry laboratory in Versailles and Le Chesnay. In the summer, you can also eat delicious home-made ice creams. The house also offers a catering service, which is nowadays its main activity.
