SYNDICAT D’INITIATIVE
Bizanet is a beautiful village of old stones, with fountains and washing by the spring source. Washings are still experiencing the attendance of the ladies who take pleasure in doing their little laundry and the chat! Its finage includes part of the forest of Fontfroide and the castle of Gaussan, former Cistercian farm, which became in the 19th century a wine-growing property and was transformed into a building of feudal high towers inspired by the fashion of Viollet-le-Duc; since 1994, Benedictines from Fontgombault have made a monastery out of the castle. The castle of Saint-Martin-de-Toque was rebuilt in the 19th century and restored privately.
