LE BRASSENS
Restaurant near the Pont Vieux offering homemade cuisine, meat, and seasonal fruit.
In November 2013, Michèle Joucla took over Le Brassens. Located just a few steps from the Old Bridge, facing the Dome which overlooks the Aude River and leads to the City, the restaurant enjoys a privileged location close to several Carcassonne monuments such as the City, Bastion Montmorency, or Saint Michel Cathedral. Michèle offers homemade home-cooked cuisine, which is simmered behind its stoves, to give us a pot roast, a veal or lamb sauté, carrots, and fries as we love them, or dishes like beef stew. She also enjoys cooking vegetables or dishes with exotic flavours such as curry or Thai curry, or a rich couscous that is a hit. At the end of the meal, cheese lovers will enjoy the richly assorted cheese platter. And if you want to finish with a sweet note, don't hesitate to taste one of the seasonal fruit pies, some clafoutis, or chocolate cake, homemade desserts and delicious! Large free parking in front of the restaurant. The Medieval City is a 15-minute walk from the Old Bridge.
