LA BRASSERIE DU PALAIS
Brasserie with a terrace offering original dishes, pizzas, and meats.
It has been several years since we last spoke about this address, due to the absence of actual restaurateurs at the head of this establishment, all that remained is the memory of the good moments spent here in the year 2000... In 2013, the brasserie changed ownership. After great renovation and redecoration, Karine and Denis - true professionals - revalued the place and made it an address that is becoming a must in Carcassonne. While some took their place at the bar for an aperitif, we had a seat at our table, modern and warm, with friendly and dynamic service yet a little noisy. The menu is mouthwatering, here you will find classics including salads, pizzas, or grilled steak but our attention went to more original dishes like stuffed mussels, risotto with prawns, trio of beef tartare (Oriental, Indian, Provencal), linguine with squid and chorizo or the fisherman's pot and his rust. The dishes are copious and well-presented, it is a shame that the fries are not homemade, but we quickly forgot this little detail in comparison with the quality of the dishes. We ended with an excellent homemade floating island. Everything is at right prices and the service is fast. When weather permitting, a catering service is available on the terrace. A place where the fox may come regularly!
