PONT-VIEUX, PIERRE AND MARIA SIRE GARDEN
The Pont Vieux (Old Bridge) is a beautiful structure reserved for pedestrians, allowing them to observe the city, the mountains, and the Pic de Nore.
The Pont Vieux (Old Bridge) is a fine 14th-century structure for pedestrians only. It spans the River Aude to bring walkers to the foot of the medieval town, in the Rue Trivalle. It's a great viewpoint for observing the town and the surrounding mountains, the Pic de Nore and the Pyrenean foothills. You can picnic on the lawns of the garden dedicated to Pierre and Maria Sire, two authors from the Aude region, and take the children to play in the fenced-in play area.
