A stop at the Douzens train station is a must, and not just for two minutes, because since Tania and Olivier bought the old station, we've taken the time to discover Olivier's semi-gastronomic cuisine. In the hall, the kitchen opens onto the simply decorated dining room, and outside, a shaded terrace. Having worked in the kitchens of several gourmet restaurants, Olivier expresses his love of seasonal produce here, which he sublimates in well-crafted dishes. Tania's good humour and Olivier's talent are the promise of a great time.

The bistronomic restaurant L'art Et Gourmand awaits you in the village of Douzens, near Capendu, in the Greater Carcassonne area. Tania and Olivier decided to convert the old railway station into an atypical, original and convivial establishment, after having accumulated a number of professional experiences in Bordeaux, Courchevel, Strasbourg and Nîmes. With a background in French gastronomy working with Michelin-starred chefs, these two culinary enthusiasts offer you a refined traditional menu, entirely homemade and combining innovation and creativity. You can choose from a wide range of dishes and menus based on 100% French produce, sourced from fresh, seasonal local producers. Take, for example, "Le C.B.O Gourmand", a combination of burger bun, crispy chicken, fried onions, bacon and salad with creamy sauce and cheddar cheese. You'll also find a gourmet cheese plate. You can enjoy your meal indoors or outdoors, on a remarkably shaded terrace, when the weather's nice. A must for fine dining in Douzens!
