This Southern Gothic church features an painting by Jacques Gamelin and a organ.
This Languedoc Gothic church dates from the late 13th century. Listed as a Monument Historique, it is said to have been rebuilt on the site of an ancient Roman temple dedicated to Jupiter. The building houses an 18th-century painting by Jacques Gamelin, and a 17th-century organ. Notre-Dame de l'Assomption houses the so-called "Miracle of Fire" beam, a reference to a famous episode in Cathar history, during the crusade against the Albigensians.
