This piece of rampart is one of the remains of Fleury, tracing the history of the village and its inhabitants.
Occupied since antiquity, Fleury became a fortified village, or "castrum", in the Middle Ages. Although the castle that the ramparts protected has now disappeared, some remains still tell the story of this episode in the history of the town. As you stroll through the village, you can admire a piece of the rampart, an old portico and even a turret. By letting your imagination run wild, you will have fun visualizing what the past of the town and its inhabitants could have looked like.
