LE PAVILLON DE SAINT-AUBIN
Restaurant with a warm welcome offering a modern and original cuisine in Saint-Aubin-de-Médoc.
In a park of 1.50 ha (2.47 acres) of pine trees, this Louisiana style building conceals a very well-kept kitchen. A very warm welcome from Patricia Arbeau is followed by a gourmet meal in the large dining room with its cosy - somewhat old-fashioned - Art-Deco style and modern colours. Settled in comfortable armchairs, one has all leisure to appreciate the beautiful career of the chef, Thierry Arbeau: Darroze, Raymond Oliver, the Grand Véfour in Paris and Michel Guérard in Eugénie-les-Bains. We revel in this gastronomic cuisine, both contemporary and original, which knows how to show consistency, quality, freshness and presentation, as shown to perfection by the tuna makis, pan-fried foie gras, grilled squab with sweet spices and polenta. It is delicious with Bordeaux wines but also with wines from other regions. As a dessert: caramel biscuit with salted butter and caramel ice cream, Cointreau cocoa bellows and cocoa sorbet, Limoncello baba with yoghurt ice cream and mascarpone cream.
