One of the most important birdwatching sites in France. All the species making their post-nuptial migrations from the Rhône Valley to Spain pass through here. Between July and November, there are about a hundred different species of birds, including about thirty species of birds of prey, Eleonora's falcons, black kites, buzzards, sparrowhawks, bee-eaters... Several species of passerines are also represented, swifts, finches, many species of swallows and waders can also be observed, in significant numbers.
