Alleys of plane and lime trees, a lush green meadow in bloom, ponds and water lilies, and a park with trees over a hundred years old - you can't help but appreciate the tranquility and beauty of this setting.
This living jewel box invites us to reconnect with Mother Nature: we strain our ears to listen to the songs of birds and owls, and open our eyes to admire the ballet of tree frogs, emblems of this historic site.
At the heart of this cocoon of greenery lies La Maison Camboyer, an elegant and authentic 4-star hotel with 15 rooms and suites. Opposite La Maison are Les Demeures, 3 exceptional gîteswhich can be fully privatized.Each combines modern comfort with the elegance of noble, historic materials.
The history of Domaine de Camboyer began in the XVIIᵉ century when Pierre-Paul Riquet submitted his ingenious project to the Sun King: the Canal des 2 Mers. Maison Camboyer was then the home of a family of Flemish origin, the de Reynes family. Legend has it that Barthélémy de Reynes was involved in the construction of the Canal, and that the estate was the reward for his participation.
The fireplace in the main living room still proudly bears two tree frogs, the Reynes family coat of arms.
