The intercommunal tourist office, Lauragais Tourisme, has undergone major changes in 2017. Indeed, following the Notre law, Lauragais Tourisme has joined its competences to those of the 58 communes of Terres du Lauragais, and proposes an enriched cultural and tourist offer to the visitors of the region. Destination Lauragais now encompasses four distinct areas, each developing a theme: Castelnaudary and its surroundings allow you to discover gastronomy and of course the Canal du Midi; the Revel-Sorèze-St Férréol sector focuses on the source of the Canal du Midi, arts and crafts, particularly in Durfort, Villefranche-Lauragais - Nailloux (pastel country) offer a discovery of the local heritage during new guided tours, numerous leisure activities, as well as shopping in the Outlet Village of Nailloux, and the Fanjeaux sector in the heart of the Cathar hills, birthplace of the Dominican Order. Lauragais Tourisme also works in partnership with nearly two hundred service providers, accommodation providers, restaurants, leisure sites... which you can find in the new guides available in the different branches of Lauragais Tourisme.
