Discover Montolieu, a book village with its Museum of Arts and Crafts, and the history of the book trade.
In 1990, Carcassonne bookbinder Michel Braibant wanted to pass on the memory of the book trade by welcoming the public to his craftsmen's workshops. He opened the Musée des Arts et Métiers du Livre in 1991, and Montolieu became known as the village of books, with its 15 bookshops selling old, new, and second-hand books. His association offers artistic and cultural encounters and practices throughout the year to promote and perpetuate the village's activities.
