The Miellerie des Clauses invites you to discover the life of bees in Montséret.
Welcome to the world of bees! The Miellerie des Clauses, run by passionate beekeepers, invites you to discover the life of bees in the charming Corbières village of Montseret. More than a museum, and without the risk of being foraged, here you can discover the inside of the hives live (and with captivating commentary) using a webcam - it's the bee theatre! The tour is led by the beekeepers themselves! Using an observatory, the beekeeper will explain the life of bees in a specially dedicated workshop. The beekeeper won't hesitate to open a hive full of bees, which you can observe in complete safety behind a bay window. You'll also learn all about honey, from its extraction from the hive to its packaging. In July and August, every Wednesday morning from 9.30am to 11.30am, older children can don a beekeeper's suit and get up close to the hives for an unforgettable experience, unique in the area. You'll go out into the garrigue to meet the bees in small groups, to facilitate dialogue, and get up close and personal with their daily lives. The "less adventurous" can be satisfied with a tasting of honey, gingerbread, mead or even small sweets... It's impossible to leave empty-handed.
