Le Relais du Val d'Orbieu is the ideal stopover if you want to discover the treasures of the Aude, the Cathar castles, the vineyard, Canal du Midi and the superb roads of Corbières. Located in the heart of the department, this hotel and restaurant which looks like an hacienda can become a true little paradise for the family. The reception that Joel, the owner, has for you, is professional and very nice. At the restaurant which is open to all, you will spend a pleasant moment on the terrace (open or outdoor) or in the dining room. The Promeneur menu is recommended for excellent value for money. On the à la carte menu or on the menus, a seasonal Mediterranean cuisine mainly prepared with fresh products, the dishes are gourmet, generous and well presented. Goat Panna cotta with rosemary, sea bass roasted with thyme butter, fondant potatoes, veal cutlet and its tomato rougail with citruses and creamy polenta or scallops on fine tarte of leeks. For dessert, we recommend the rum baba. After your meal, you can enjoy petanque or a little dive into the swimming pool... To extend your stay, 20 rooms are at your disposal.

We had Echoes that the establishment was sold, we were to see what the hotel offered today, and the pleasant surprise was there. The cuisine is tasty and very hearty dish. Welcomed by the new owner, we spent a delightful moment to renew!

We spent the night of the 31.12.14 with friends at the restaurant of The Relais du Val Orbieu. The quality of the meal was poor as well as possible, the dishes are cold and there were only 2 waitresses for a hundred guests. The dance floor was really too small to accommodate everyone who would have loved to dance. To save only in the evening only disaster, why we stayed, two singers and Spanish duo, Los Nativos - bravo 2! But for the restaurant - it is a pity, you are not likely to come back. The owner was nice but it must have made this did not go.
