Former saltworks located in Peyriac-de-Mer, converted into a rich natural environment offering exceptional landscapes.
Known since Antiquity, the Peyriac salt works ceased their activity in 1967, with the abandonment of salt production. Now owned by the Conservatoire de l'espace littoral et des rivages lacustres, the site is a particularly rich natural environment. Surrounded by hills covered with scrubland and punctuated by salt ponds, it offers exceptional landscapes from the hills of Mour, on the ponds of Narbonnaise. Take the wooden path at the water's edge or swim near the Doul pond, a lagoon with very high salinity.
