This church hosts classical music concerts every year
Saint-Etienne church was built in 1764 by Abbé Marc-Antoine Lalanne, on the site of a former 9th-century Romanesque edifice. Lalanne had it lavishly decorated, making it one of the most beautiful churches in Gironde. Its remarkable nave is framed by a pillared gallery which, since 1892, has housed an imposing 884-pipe Wenner organ. The church boasts some magnificent paintings, one of which, by Bordeaux painter Laporte, is now listed. Classical music concerts are held here every year.
