SAINT-FARM ABBEY
Overlooking the village of Saint-Ferme of its imposing mass, the abbey of Saint-Ferme was founded by the black monks in the 1080 th and th centuries, and it was only in that it was invested by the Benedictine Church, which built an abbey-Abbey church - and Mary buildings - from the th century. In the course of the wars, the monastery will be fortified and the abbey will have an important influence throughout the region, including the pilgrims of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle who stop it to worship the relics of Marie-Madeleine, as in Vézelay, Saint Fiacre and Saint Ferme. The Gothic claustraux buildings, now occupied by the town hall and the presbytery, are partly open to the visit. As for the th century abbey church, it is in perfect condition thanks to several restorations - th, th and th centuries. The historiés capitals are quite remarkable and one can admire a treasure of 1 300 Roman currencies found not far from the abbey in 1986.
