LE MUSEE DES VIEUX METIERS
An eco-museum with tools from yesteryear, highlighting traditional trades and the daily lives of local people.
This eco-museum is set up in a tower of the medieval ramparts of the village, showcasing traditional crafts as well as the daily life of the inhabitants. It combines, on three floors, tools and instruments of the past from Montagne Noire. At the top of the 20-metre-high tower is a breathtaking panorama of the Pyrenees and an orientation table. Take note that at the time we completed the guide, the Vieux Métiers museum was scheduled to reopen in spring 2014 with new activities and joint visits to the castle, as well as a restaurant option at the end of the visit. We strongly recommend that you contact the city council before planning this small cultural journey.
