CORBIERES MUSEUM
Museum featuring excavations from the Pech Maho oppidum and the surrounding area.
The museum, housed in a former 18th-century residence, brings together excavations from the Pech-Maho oppidum and the surrounding area. It's a chance to discover Sigean before the Roman occupation, when the Elisycians populated the region. Among the most precious items on display are lead tablets bearing lengthy texts in Iberian, a language as yet undeciphered. The second floor is devoted to an exhibition on the ancient Franco-Aragonese border, "Les Corbières frontière ou passage", and to traditional activities such as vine-growing, salt-making, fishing and hunting.

Personne a l accueil incompétente,
Dame non chaleureuse mais très compétente
Quel dommage que l'administration française ne souhaite pas mettre en valeur ces collections et ces pièces uniques !
