THE GARDEN OF SMILES
English garden, designed around an old medieval mill and three ponds and which has about 2,500 native species.
The Moulin de la Souloire has a superb English garden. Created in 1960 by Marie-José Degas, it was designed around an old medieval mill and three ponds. Nestled in a beautiful wooded environment, the garden is rich with approximately 2,500 native species brought from the four corners of the world. Their entanglement, the blooming of the wisteria and the abundance of plants produce a very marked impression of disorientation. This garden belongs to the Vignobles Degas, which is run by Diane and Eugénie, the granddaughters of Marie-José Degas.
