14th century fortified castle, with a main building modernized in the 18th century, a large square tower, a bridge and a moat
The construction of this fortified house dates back to the 14th century, on the initiative of the Lords of Albret de Vertheuil. In the 18th century, the main building was modernized and the openings enlarged to improve living comfort. Its architecture is as fascinating as it is intriguing. The building is said to have been used as a safe for ingots and iron ore. A large square tower, moat and bridge can still be admired. For many years, the association La Croisade Sémignanaise has been working on its renovation during summer workcamps.
