Founded in 1935, the Jules Baudou Museum of Agde aims to preserve and retrace the history of Agde, daughter of the Mediterranean. In a beautiful Renaissance hotel, the exhibition will make you discover the maritime, wine and folk traditions that make the city great. Don't miss the superb Art Nouveau furniture from the Château Laurens. Adults can enjoy a guided tour and children can play a treasure hunt through the different rooms.

Varied: local ethnography, underwater archaeology, good paintings by local artists (including those of the 3 Azéma brothers, painters and sculptors agathois in the first half of the last century), carefully restored interior of the cabin of a ship's captain of. The setting is charming with its slightly old-fashioned character of museum of the years 1920, need more reputation.
Na pas manquer : la salle des ex-voto marin, de Notre-Dame-du-Grau, les reconstitutions de la vie quotidienne (cuisine de pécheur, la Souillarde , chambre de jeune fille.... ) les peintures des frères agathois Auguste, Ernest et Louis Azéma, la salle consacrée à la pêche, les maquettes de navires à voile...
Le musée a été dépoussiéré depuis son passage de musée associatif géré par des seniors, au statut de musée municipal dirigé par un conservateur.
Prévoir 1 h 30 pour tout voir. Ferme à 17 heures en période estival et bizarrement à 17 h 30 hors saison.
