CASTELLO D'ASSAS
Built in the eighteenth century on remnants of the twelfth century, Assas is certainly one of the most enchanting castles of the Hérault. Its garden side façade is a curious blend, its two wings raised give it medieval castle areas, while its columns, frontlines and balustrades give it a classic style. The lounges welcome classical concerts throughout the year. A sumptuous clavecin of the eighteenth century is preserved there, as well as the woodworks that would come from the carving of Mosson Castle in Montpellier. Although tours are organized all year round, the best time to discover the castle remains May to Toussaint.
