RAMPARTS WALK
Old ramparts of Balaruc-le-Vieux with beautiful views below offering a nice walk to discover its remains
This walk along the old ramparts is a nice stroll which plunges into the history of the city and allows you to discover beautiful views below: the Barrys district (which means "suburbs"), the old mill located on the edge of the La Gau canal, the plan of the old gate with a superb view of the hills of the Gardiole and the remains of the Abbey of Saint-Félix de Montceau, but also the Montpellier Gate. Note that most of the current ramparts are actually retaining walls dating mainly from the 1930s.
