This club of Balaruc-les-Bains organizes "tambourin" training for adults and children. This activity, which is also called "tamburello" or "tambourine ball", is the direct descendant of a ball game practiced in Languedoc between the mid-sixteenth century and 1860. The oldest version of tambourine as we know it today dates back to the 1860's. The game is practiced in the open air and opposes two teams of five players. LIke in real tennis or tennis, players must ensure that the ball is returned to the opposing camp.
