Nestling on the shores of the Etang de Thau, the Jardin Antique Méditerranéen invites you to discover a rich collection of Mediterranean plants, ranging from local species to varieties from various Mediterranean regions. You'll find thousand-year-old olive trees, climbing vines, generous fig trees and aromatic herbs. Each plant is accompanied by explanatory panels revealing its history, uses and special features. To enhance your visit, the Jardin Antique Méditerranéen offers a number of themed trails to learn more about sacred and mythological plants, as well as those dedicated to medicinal and cosmetic uses. After your stroll through the shady alleys, you can take advantage of the rest areas for a moment of serenity. The site also boasts an amphitheater that hosts themed exhibitions, concerts and conferences. Workshops, guided tours and even evening visits are also organized to deepen your knowledge of Mediterranean plants and civilizations.
